Gerardo García Rodríguez, recognized in the video game industry for his multifaceted career as a producer, creative director, public speaker, mentor, and consultant, resides in Mexico. With a solid background in graphic design and a Master’s in Business Innovation, as well as studies at Stanford and the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, Gerardo has consistently demonstrated an interest in everything related to creativity.

With more than a decade of experience in the industry, he has worked in various roles, from risk management to innovation in game design and production. His participation in notable projects like “Flat Kingdom” has earned him recognition at international events such as Pax South, GDC, and SXSW. His experience also includes agile game development, using methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.

Gerardo stands out for his ability to work with both technical and design teams, and has experience in implementing workflows using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, and Smartsheet. His expertise spans the development of AA and licensed games, both in console and mobile Free-to-Play.

As a team leader and builder, Gerardo is also dedicated to the education and training of future game professionals, being a regular speaker at gaming conferences and universities. Additionally, he is passionate about comics, Tarantino movies, and music production, which enriches his creative vision and approach to the gaming industry.

I have 8 years of experience launching over 8 games, for clients and personal projects, like Flat Kingdom, winner of the VideojuegosMX by ESA, Pax Indie corner, etc. For 15 years, I’ve been creating nice stuff as a graphic designer and artist.
